Kiya Yaguda, M.A., CCC-SLP

As a child helping my Japanese mom, who married my Irish-American dad, I saw firsthand how speaking with proper American English pronunciation increased her confidence and gave her a sense of self-worth as a member of her newfound American society.

My interest in speech and communication led me to a career in acting, on and off-Broadway, television, film, and voice-overs.

As an actor, I also moonlighted and coached people to improve ease and success with public speaking.

The joy and excitement of helping others gain confidence in speech sent me back to school to become a Speech Language Pathologist. I received the Certificate of Clinical Competence as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) from The American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), am listed in the National Provider Registry (NPI), and licensed by the State of Florida.

I studied Communication Sciences and Disorders and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College in New York and received a Master of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida, where I was honored with the Exceptional Graduate Student Clinician Award.

Since my university days, I have been expanding the range of help I can provide. I worked with adults in a skilled nursing facility, with children in the Seminole County Public Schools and in the clinical setting. I also became certified in the P-ESL technique of accent modification (also known as accent reduction) and am now deepening my experience in private practice.

I founded Master Speech Clinic to help make speaking the pleasure that it can be.
